They found the approach to be highly innovative, offering practical solutions to make kitchen operations more sustainable while integrating these with other initiatives. The judges were particularly interested in the proposed future initiatives, which demonstrated that the submission was well thought out. They also recognised that EPAS delivers a much-needed, high-impact waste management service. The innovation of harnessing existing waste thermal energy was considered particularly exciting, and the remote monitoring feature was noted as another promising future initiative. Overall, the judges regarded this as a strong and competitive submission.”
