EPAS has unveiled its latest innovation in commercial kitchen grease management: the EPLC (EPAS Programmable Logic Computer). Now being installed in GreaseShield units, this advanced technology is set to transform how commercial kitchens manage grease interception and maintenance.
The EPLC introduces a new level of convenience and efficiency by enabling technicians to wirelessly connect to a GreaseShield unit. Through this connection, they can program operational hours specific to the kitchen’s schedule, check and adjust status settings, and perform vital system function tests—all without ever opening the unit.
Previously, servicing a GreaseShield involved physically opening the device to access internal components and connect a computer for any adjustments. This process was time-consuming and often required technicians to crouch or crawl to access the service hatch.
With the EPLC, these challenges are a thing of the past. The wireless functionality streamlines the entire process, saving time, improving technician safety, and reducing disruption in busy kitchen environments. It’s a major step forward in smart kitchen technology—offering smarter, faster, and easier grease management.
