  • EPDM Rubber Manufactured in EPDM [Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer(M Class)] Rubber
    • EPDM combines excellent resistance to deterioration due to the effect of ozone, oxygen, weather, heat and many chemicals
    • Its serviceable temperature range is -40° F to +250° F and intermittent to + 275° F
    • It is not recommended for use in contact with petroleum oils or fluids
    • Hardness tolerance for a nominal IRHD value of 60 it ±5
    • Tensile strength at least: 9MPa
    • Elongation at break %: >300
    • Ageing for 7 days at 70° the material must still be within the following property ranges;
      • Hardness change max/min:+8/ -5
      • Tensile strength drop as a percentage: -20%
      • Elongation change as a percentage: 10%/-30%
    • Stress Relaxation maximum reduction in % -7 days@70°:
    • <15% relaxation of tensile stress -100 days @23%:
    • <22% relaxation of tensile stress
    • Water Absorption – Volume change in water – Test for 7 days immersion @ 70°C not volume change: Acceptable range is from -1% up to +8% net change in volume
