This dual recognition reflects our unwavering commitment to innovation and sustainability, underpinned by our ongoing research and development efforts in line with the principles set out in Article 3 of Directive 75/442/EC, which encourages the prevention and reduction of waste through clean technologies.
Our GreaseShield range exemplify our environmental leadership. It operates without the need for chemicals or energy-intensive heating, instead harnessing waste thermal energy to efficiently recover fats, oils, and grease (FOG) from commercial kitchen wastewater. The recovered FOG can be repurposed into biodiesel, reducing carbon emissions by up to 87% compared to traditional fossil fuels, advancing the circular economy while delivering operational benefits to our customers.
As finalists for Best Green Business, we are honoured to have our efforts recognised in sustainable product development and environmental responsibility. Our early achievement of Carbon Neutrality certification PAS 2060, some 25 years ahead of EU targets, and our ongoing progression towards ISO 14068:2022 certification demonstrate our dedication to genuine, valid, and transparent carbon reduction initiatives.
Our nomination for Best Innovative Business recognises our commitment to creating cutting-edge solutions that address critical industry challenges. Our EPAS Programmable Logic Controller (EPLC) facilitates real-time remote monitoring and diagnostics, improving maintenance efficiency and reducing environmental risk. Investing approximately 6% of our annual turnover into R&D ensures continuous advancement of our product range and processes, resulting in cost savings, enhanced performance, and increased export growth.
